COMBINATIONS
Why not add extra experiences to your holiday in Turkey by distributing your
time between different areas
land and sea? You can experience a week
of history and culture in the old capital Istanbul
then relax on a beach
or
even better sail away on a private cruise. Options we suggest:
Istanbul
3, 4 to7 days...time in Istanbul can always be exploited to the full
depending
on how long you wish to stay in a metropolis. Having said this the Sultanahmet
centre where you stay has minimal traffic in comparison to the rest of Istanbul.
It is possible to visit the whole of old Stamboul starting like a Sultan from
the Palace of Topkapi
but without an entourage and on foot
.. noting
all the churches now preserved as mosques, eating a fresh fish sandwich at
Kumkapi and in the afternoon strolling up to the famous closed market where
one of the obliging shop-owners will regale you with Turkish tea.
Cappadocia
3, 4 to7 days
it is possible to see most of Cappadocia within 3 days
but impossible to savour it in that time where round the next corner is a
hidden church, an unforgettable village, a photogenic rock formation
walk
enchanted valleys, balloon into the dawn, bicycle along soft tuf paths or
embibe sufism watching the whirling dervishes at Sarihan.
The
Lycian Coast 3, 4 to7 days...relax by the turquoise seas... Choose between
a comfortable three star hotel right just off the Oludeniz beach or a larger
holiday resort. If you feel like something quite off the tourist trail you
can stay at Blacktree in a village 1000 metres above sea level.
On
board 3, 4 to7 days
along the turquoise coast in our 18 metre ketch
with sails unfurled or motoring to the next deserted cove
many starred
nights and sun splattered days.
